Maharashtra board syllabus, chapter by chapter

The Maharashtra course is set by MSBSHSE and is genuinely its own syllabus, not a re-ordered NCERT. At SSC level the Class 9 and 10 split is nothing like NCERT's: Gravitation, Heat, Lenses, Metallurgy, Carbon Compounds and Space Missions are all Class 10 here, and Science and Technology is printed as two books that are sat as two separate papers. At HSC level Class 11 Physics opens with Mathematical Methods, Class 12 opens with Rotational Dynamics, and several chapters sit in the opposite year to their CBSE namesakes. HSC also feeds MHT CET, which examines both years, so an HSC science student is usually planning one syllabus against two papers with different dates.

193 chapters in total — 38 in Science (MH-SSC), 29 in Mathematics (MH-SSC), 30 in Physics (MH-HSC), 32 in Chemistry (MH-HSC), 33 in Mathematics (MH-HSC), 31 in Biology (MH-HSC).

The weight column is CapCompass's own planning weight — how much study time the app reserves for that chapter — not an official MSBSHSE weightage; the board publishes per-chapter weightage for neither stage. Chapter names follow the board's own Balbharati textbooks, and the two parts of a book are listed in printed order as one list.
