Trigonometry in one look
ratios of the sides of a right triangle, the identities they satisfy, and heights measured without climbing
The six ratios, defined from one angle
fix an acute angle θ in a right angled triangle. The side opposite θ, the side adjacent to it and the hypotenuse are then all decided
the hypotenuse is always the side opposite the right angle and never changes whichever acute angle is chosen
the adjacent side is the one touching θ that is not the hypotenuse
these are ratios of lengths, so they have no units and depend only on the angle, not on the size of the triangle
that independence is exactly why similar triangles all give the same value for a given angle
The definitions and their reciprocals
sine, opposite over hypotenusesinθ = opp/hyp
cosine, adjacent over hypotenusecosθ = adj/hyp
tangent, opposite over adjacenttanθ = opp/adj
cosecant, the reciprocal of sinecscθ = 1/sinθ
secant, the reciprocal of cosinesecθ = 1/cosθ
cotangent, the reciprocal of tangentcotθ = 1/tanθ = cosθ/sinθ

These notes are not a standalone PDF. CapCompass plans Mathematics chapter by chapter against your real exam dates and free hours, and when the plan reaches Trigonometry the sheet opens inside the study block itself — at the page covering the sub-topic that block is on, with the timer still running. Revision arrives at the moment the plan says revise, instead of having to be gone looking for.
